2026 First Quarter Update

Time sure does fly by, doesn’t it?

A lot’s gone on over the last three months. After getting our first batch of artwork completed from Rayven Studios, we put in a second batch of orders that’s nearly finished. These images focus on showing how varied your E-Scape settings can be, leaving the details of them up to you to fill in on your own. They also show some of the magical Effects ghosts can cast in action, such as Hurl, Siphon, and Swap. Sometimes it’s difficult to just be told how magic works in a new game system, especially one set in a virtual reality. Seeing examples of the system’s energy and data getting manipulated is so much more evocative!

Editing of the book draft is well underway. we’ve already returned my review of redlines for the intro and first two chapters (Character Creation and Rules) in preparation for one final pass, with the second pass redlines for the last twelve chapters to come in over the next month. It’s been incredibly encouraging to see the improvement in the overall product! It’s on schedule to be completed by the end of May, at which point we can formally work on layout.

Regarding future artwork requests, we anticipate two more batch orders. One will be put through next month, which will tackle figure images of the example characters included at the end of the Character Creation chapter plus a few odds and ends that could very likely include the official cover art. What should be the final batch order will cover the remaining images we’ll request once layout’s done, filling in whatever gaps might pop up to make the book more readable and aesthetically pleasing.

While the production aspect of the project’s going well, logistical considerations have been thrown a curveball of late. Real world work requirements have curtailed the ability to attend conventions this year, so much so that there’s a good chance we won’t be able to attend any at all. We’ll do what we can to host game sessions somewhere, but as of now we’re not sure when or where those might be.

As for marketing, we plan to put out a couple more YouTube videos explaining additional game rules, so be on the lookout for those. And we intend to publish a free beta quickstart in the coming months so you can try out the game for yourself. Once it’s available, we’ll announce that far and wide!

I think that about covers it. A solid first quarter with lots to come. In the interim, check out these excellent setting pieces and we’ll see you next time!
