2026 Second Quarter Update
Hard to believe we’re nearly halfway done with 2026! What isn’t hard to believe is all the progress we’ve made to get us that much closer to an official crowdfunding campaign for E-Scape: A Science Fantasy Roleplaying Game.
Here’s where we’re at:
Our third wave of art is currently underway. Once these pieces are completed by mid-July, we’ll have 52 completed images, which is roughly halfway of where we anticipate the final tally for the core book will be. The tremendous team at Rayven Studios have been fantastic throughout our partnership! So much so, we’re currently working out details for the cover art, the all-important first impression we hope will capture the essence of what E-Scape is all about.
The introduction and all thirteen chapters have been thoroughly redlined and reviewed. The editor’s now doing one last pass for final tweaks before this task officially closes. This means we can transition our efforts to final layout, during which we’ll sort out how many and what artwork are left to produce.
Speaking of layout, the quickstart .pdf has been drafted for review before we put it up for free download here on the website! It features a basic rules summary and a one-shot adventure called The Vertice Extraction, a seek-and-run scenario set in a ski resort mountain range where you have to save a copy from deletion by system authorities. It comes complete with nine pregen characters players can choose from to complete the mission. We’ll be sure to post a new announcement once that’s available for download at the end of this month, or mid-July at the latest.
We settled on Kickstarter to host our crowdfunding campaign and will have a Follow the Launch set up by the end of this month, with a projected campaign launch in October 2026. To support this, we’re also going to set up a mailing list here on the website so you can be the first to learn about the project’s kickoff!
