What’s Coming in 2026?
2025 is officially in the books, and it’s been quite the year. We officially unveiled our first project, E-Scape: A Science Fantasy Roleplaying Game, outside friends and family with playtests at a LGS and at KublaCon Fall back in November. We kicked off this website and stepped up our social media, which you can check out by visiting our follow links at the bottom of this page. And, of course, we commissioned our first phase of artwork for the book!
I’m pleased to share that not only are the art pieces for the two core book adventures complete, but we just initiated another phase of art from Rayven Studios! These pieces shall showcase the varied themed locations you can set your E-Scape campaigns in. From wild west and underwater arcology to orbital space habitats, these images should really get the imagination going!
But that’s not all. We’re also generating images that highlight some of the magical Effects ghost PCs can cast in E-Scape. Ever want to throw a stapler at someone and have it come back to you like Thor’s hammer? What about rendering bolt cutters to break into a locked medieval chamber? These are just two of the images you can look forward to seeing come April!
As mentioned in a previous progress report, copyediting is underway on the full draft. That’s right! The book’s fully written and we’ve contracted someone to help us give it a full thrice-over to ensure the final product’s clear, clean, and complete. The first pass is nearly finished, which involves a comprehensive alignment of terms and style guide that will be used to edit the second pass. By June, a fully edited core book will be ready for layout!
And speaking of layouts, check out our working draft page design, which includes a brief bit of our (unedited) introduction:
Sample layout spread for the E-Scape core rule book
These aren’t the final designs, but they’re much closer than we had been before, so we’re pretty thrilled with all the progress we’ve made!
Finally, we have plans to officially launch a crowdfunding campaign for E-Scape in the second half of 2026 and attend a few more game conventions to run in-person one-shots. Once we firm up dates for both, we’ll be sure to let you know!
