The E-Scape: A Science Fantasy Roleplaying Game campaign is now live on Kickstarter!
It’s been an incredible three-year journey getting to this point. From ideation to writing, commissioning art to setting up marketing, all of it has culminated to today’s launch. Excitement and anxiety are the dominating emotions at the moment, so it’s been quite a lot to take in.
Because this is our first go at crowdfunding, the reward tiers are pretty modest. Along with the standard offerings of a pdf and hardcover book, we’re also offering game tokens for both players and GMs, ten d8s (in case you need more!), and two custom candles from the best book-themed candlemaker there is on the market, Briarwick Candles! We’re also offering a limited tier where two backers can create their own character that will appear at the end of the Character Creation chapter as a template players can use as either an inspiration or straight from the book option, putting our grand total of character templates up to eight.
If you visit the campaign page, you’ll find links to:
Two actual play videos from A Squirrel Plays and What Is Tabletop showing the game in action;
A 90-minute interview I conducted with Vicky and Dean from Everae Games;
Four brief YouTube videos from our channel that provide background and rules summaries in bit-sized chunks; and,
Mock-ups of what the book will look like (give or take a few design tweaks).
If you haven’t already, please check out the launch page and, if you like it, consider backing us. And if you like the art, be sure to drop in on Rayven Studios and give them a thumbs up for the fantastic work they’ve done for the project!
