2026 Third Quarter Update
The past three months have been “Go, go, go!” Between creating a formal E-Scape landing page, taking a two-week vacation, coordinating artwork for the book cover and page spread mock-ups, and working to get a promo video made for the crowdfunding campaign, it’s been pretty crazy around here. So let’s go through it in (mostly) chronological order.
KS Launch Date Set!
We’re pleased to announce that the Kickstarter campaign launch date for our tabletop RPG, E-Scape: A Science Fantasy Roleplaying Game, will be October 20, 2026! More announcements will be made as we near the launch, but that’s the firm date when you can officially back the project. If you haven’t followed the pre-launch already, be sure to head on over now and do so!
New Website
With the Kickstarter pre-launch for the game going live in early July, we felt it important to set up a dedicated E-Scape website to help promote it. For now, it’s a straightforward landing page that provides some background about the game and includes links to download the free quickstart and get to the KS pre-launch. Once the crowdfunding is complete, we’ll transition the E-Scape pages on this website over to that and build a proper transition to it, but for now we feel it’s best to let the landing page stand on its own.
Cover Art
Thanks to the wonderful team at Rayven Studios, the cover art for E-Scape is now complete! Currently, the title is in a temporary location and will have a wraparound to the back cover. We’re still sorting out the final design in terms of title and author placements, spine appearance, and back blurb design, but the image itself is ready to go! We’re also planning to use the background setting as a watermark on the internal pages to create a cohesive aesthetic experience as you read it.
Mock-Up Layout
Rayven Studios also mocked up three open book spreads of what you can expect to see design-wise on the inside. The plan is to color code the book into four sections: green for character relevant chapters (creation, rules, magical Effects), cyan for game world background chapters, purple for GMs, and blue for partition examples that the GM may allow players to look at if they so wish. with the colors bleeding over the outer page edges, it should make flipping to the right section that much easier!
Promo Video
Work is underway to create a promotional video that will be front-facing on our Kickstarter pre-launch and actual campaign pages. It’ll be no more than two minutes and will utilize 2D frame-by-frame animation on artwork straight from the book (again produced by Rayven Studios). We hope to have that ready to share in early October.
Actual Plays
We’ve heard the public and have answered the call! We won’t have one, but two actual play videos for E-Scape available to watch in October! One has already been filmed and is currently going through editing. The other will be a live play that I’ll be GMing. Both will be available on YouTube, so once they’re published we’ll update you here and on all our socials.
Crowdfunding Offerings
Back in July, we had mentioned some of the add-ons that will be available as part of the Kickstarter campaign. We may have been a bit premature with some of the offerings. What will definitely be offered upfront are the pdfs and the hard copy book; that’s not changing. We’re currently sourcing options like dice, tokens, and candles, which all remain to be likely add-ons once we hit our campaign minimum. What’s up in the air, however, are the card deck of Effects and GM screen. They’re not completely off the table (pun intended), but they’re not priorities at this point in time.
As you can see, lots going on! Be sure to bookmark our website and come back next month, when we’ll be announcing video releases and our Kickstarter campaign launch!
