Great Time Had at KublaCon Fall 2025!
Our first convention as an event runner is now in an official part of KublaCon history.
Talon Grasp Games ran three events over the November 14-17 long weekend, with a total of 11 participants brave enough to try out a new TTRPG based solely on our event blurb, perhaps with an assist from our social media posts. Every session offered fantastic, constructive feedback on how to make the game better, plus some encouraging words about how much they enjoyed traversing the E-Scape universe. We did have a few hiccups — a quick dash through the hotel hallways to grab some forgotten bit flip tokens and hastily filling in missing stat dots on one of our pregen PC character sheets are two that immediately come to mind — but all in all, the sessions went smoothly and we got a chance to meet some great members of the roleplay community!
This weekend’s events puts us at over 250 playtesting hours, a substantial sample size that has us confident our rules and setting are in a good place. Over the next few weeks we’ll absorb the recommendations and make some final tweaks before we call this phase of playtesting complete. We still have drafts of the book out with veteran GMs to get their playtesting notes and hope to finalize those adjustments by the end of the year.
I want to give my heartfelt thanks to all this weekend’s playtesters for their time and contributions, plus all the other playtesters who’ve contributed these past three years to helping bring E-Scape to the state it’s at today!
