RULES

E-Scape: A Science Fantasy Roleplaying Game employs a dice pool count successes mechanic using eight-sided dice (d8s). The system also features a twist on the common stat types, focusing on how PCs perform tasks, therefore placing narrative agency in the Players’ hands!

E-Scape’s central conceit is the PCs’ constant battle to stave off the rigors of digital degradation. To reflect this, characters don’t begin weak and become stronger over time. Instead, they start strong and get weaker. XP earned buys back levels lost to Glitches and Bugs, while in-game test results help PCs slowly improve over time.

Barely failed a test? Pushing to put you over the top can get you by, but brings you one step closer to your next Glitch or Bug. Players must weigh the cost of failure now versus failures later!
